Course Summary
This course is intended for any educators who want an opportunity to build their skill and confidence with English through light-hearted and inspirational readings. Elementary learners can focus on translation, vocabulary and grammar skills, while advanced learners can discuss the concepts and insights evoked by the readings. The reading selections and format of the class will be tailored to the needs of the individual participants and will be taught in a relaxed workshop-style environment.
All of the readings will have one common thread: we hope to make you smile. Please bring your good humor, your sense of wonder and your joyful heart.
This course provides an opportunity to practice translation, grammar, vocabulary and conversation skills with a native English speaker. The class will be both practical and uplifting. We’ll explore modern poetry including some lesser-known writers. We’ll read children’s stories that cultivate emotional intelligence and a sense of purpose (a special treat for elementary school educators as you can share these stories with your students).
